Charles H.C. Kao

Charles H.C. Kao is the Founder and CEO of Global Views Monthly and the Commonwealth Publishing Company. He is also Board Chairman of the Institute of Knowledge Economy and Management.

From 1990-2002, he served as the Economic Advisor to the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs. He has also served as Economic Advisor to various Taiwanese Government officials since the early 1990’s.

He has won several honors, including Outstanding Educator of America Award (1971), Distinguished Professor of the Year Award, University of Wisconsin—River Falls (1974), Distinguished Alumni Award, South Dakota State University (1989), and Distinguished Achievement Award in Publishing (Taipei 2002).

He has published more than twenty books on economic policy issues. His book The Taiwan Investment Experience on Mainland China—A First Hand Report received a book award by the Financial Times and the Booz-Allen Hamilton Global Business Book Award (1996).
