Victor K Fung

Dr Victor K Fung is the Group Chairman of the Li & Fung group of companies, which includes major subsidiaries, Li & Fung (Distribution), Li & Fung (Retailing) Limited, and publicly listed Li & Fung Limited and Convenience Retail Asia. He also is Chairman of the Hong Kong Airport Authority and the Hong Kong University Council.

Dr Fung holds a number of civic and professional appointments. He is a member of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Hong Kong Government Judicial Officers Recommendation Committee and the Commission on Strategic Development. From 1991 to 2000, Dr Fung was Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and since 1996 he serves as the Hong Kong representative on the APEC Business Advisory Council.

Dr Fung is Chairman of Prumerica Financial Asia Limited and a non-executive Director of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, PCCW Ltd, Orient Overseas (International) Ltd and Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr Fung holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in Business Economics from Harvard University. He also taught as a professor at the Harvard Business School for four years before returning to Hong Kong in 1976.

Dr Fung is married with three children.
